[Snort-users] 2009 Snort Scholarship Winners

Hi Everyone,
Sourcefire is pleased to announce the winners of the 2009 Snort Scholarship. This year's winners are:
• John Jasen, a Bachelor of Science candidate in Information Systems Management at The University of Maryland University College. Jasen has been using Snort for nearly ten years to both further his education and as an information security professional.
• Ashley Chonka, a PhD degree candidate in Computer Science at Deakin University in Australia. Chonka uses Snort as part of his doctoral research into malware and denial of service attacks.
Please join the me and the entire Snort team in congratulating John and Ashley. Each will receive $5,000 to be used to continue their education. Mark your calendars now, the application period for the 2010 Snort Scholarship will be announced in February 2010.
