Dear Sirs,
I am new to vsftp, and after searching for a while I decided to join this mailinglist, maybe I get the solution there.
We have RedHat 8.0 running on our Webserver. I installed vsftp and have the following problem:
no matter how I set the local_umask, 22 or 77, all the uploaded files
get the permission -rw-------
I tried to restart xinetd, restarted the complete server, but changing
the local_umask doesn't change anything.
My 2nd problem is the following:
We have only one local user on the system, e.g. "webadmin". When
"webadmin" logs into the server via ftp I want him to chroot to the
DocumentRoot of the httpd (/home/www) automatically. But when I define
the DocumentRoot as "webadmin's" home-dir, the .bash... files are in the
DocumentRoot ... Any idea how that could be made with vsftp?
Thank you so much for your help!
